About Connemara Close - Director's Unit
The house is located in the middle of Dullstroom, with a 20 km view overlooking the Mpumalanga Highveld plateau. It has three-bedrooms, each meant for two people, with a sleeper couch that can take a further two children. Two of the bedrooms can be configured either as queen-sized or twin beds by arrangement. A crib is provided in the main bedroom. NOTE: There are, however, two other houses on the estate that can be booked via Dullstroom Reservations. Highland Gate Golf and Trout Estate is premier course, located in the Steenkampsberg Mountains 15 kilometres from Johannesburg.
Connemara Close is not really meant for children, but they do tend to enjoy the house and playing in the grounds.
It's like a Scottish Highland getaway, which is marvellous with candles. While intended for groups, the two en-suite bedrooms are extremely well appointed: that upstairs is large, with views over the plateau; and is cosy.

Important Information
The house is self-catering, but will be serviced on a daily basis (i.e. bed making, dish washing, laying of fireplace and braai) at no extra charge. The staff do have certain days off, e.g. Sunday afternoon and Wednesday, so we ask for some patience should your arrival or stay coincide with those dates, as special arrangements may have to be made. That said, we will make every endeavour to make ensure your stay is pleasurable.
Two bundles of free wood are provided for each stay, and extra can be either purchased from staff or within the village.
The house has several flights of stairs, and is not well suited to the elderly and infirm, and extra care needs to be taken with small children. Off- and on-loading of vehicles can be done through the rear of the house, which only has a small flight of three stairs.
There are some rat trips around the house, so we ask to be careful with small children. If there is a concern, the problematic traps can be removed for the duration of your stay.
Catch-and-release trout fishing is allowed, but no fishing equipment is provided. If guests wish to have trout for supper, staff can be paid for caught fish.
The house is our home, and we expect guests to treat it accordingly. All email and phone communications should be in English, but staff at the house speak Shona and Sesotho.
