Claerwen Retreat is located "high above the world" overlooking the Great Ocean Road. It is the highest point in the area, an old aboriginal site.You will find us in peaceful solitude 5km uphill at the end of Tuxion Road. Tuxion Road is the first turn right after the 50km speed restriction sign approaching Apollo Bay from Melbourne. Facilities include a lounge and library with open fire. The retreat features saltwater pool, hot spa and tennis court. 130 acres of park, bush and fern gullies. On top of the hill, overlooking the coast with panoramic views from all rooms. Also offered is a wellness program with in-house massage, beauty-treatments, facials, meditation, yoga and art classes. *Please note the road leading to the retreat is an unsealed gravel road. If using a map generated by google or a GPS unit please note that there is no access to Claerwen via the Wild Dog Road or via Old Tuxion Road, Claerwen is accessible only via Tuxion Road after passing through the Apollo Bay township.
