The area boasts pristine beaches, sheltered coves, tidal pools, lagoons, excellent fishing, water sports, boating, birding, game viewing, tennis and bowls.

We offer a charming, upmarket bed and breakfast establishment with an open-plan living room equipped with a colour TV and DStv, a dining room, a kitchenette and two luxury double en-suite bedrooms which are separate from the main dwelling. The units can be rented as a self-catering option on request. We pride ourselves on our friendly atmosphere and excellent service. We speak Afrikaans, English and German and will do our utmost to make your stay a pleasure. Unfortunately we do have a no pet policy, but our resident cat will keep you company if you allow her.

We are situated opposite the Joan Muirhead Nature Reserve and within easy walking distance of Middle Beach and Kariega Beach, as well as the Kariega River slipway. We frequently have visits from duiker, grysbok and tortoises. The central business area with restaurants, shops, banks and cafés are all within close walking distance. Larger centres such as Grahamstown, Bathurst, Port Alfred and the Fish River Sun are also in close proximity and golf can be played at Port Alfred and Alexandria.

Exclusive opportunity of bird watching along Private River on a working farm will be arranged on request. Huge trees in park like surroundings offer numerous shaded possibilities to be tranquil and see many species.
