Important Information

Booking terms & conditions:
• Deposit: 50% deposit is required to confirm a reservation
• Payment: Payment for accommodation in full is required 30 days prior to arrival. Payment for extras can be made at the lodge by cash (BWP, ZAR, USD, GBP or Euros) or Visa/Mastercard.

Climate:
Tuli falls within the summer rainfall region of Southern Africa and has a semi-arid tropical climate. Rainfall is received predominantly in the form of late afternoon thundershowers, between the months of October and May. Temperatures range from around 20-40oC in Summer (October to April) and from 6-30oC in Winter (May to September).

What to wear:
In Winter you’ll need warm clothing for early morning and evening activities. In Summer hats & sun cream are essential. It’s worth having some sturdy walking shoes with you. The dress code at the lodge is casual.

Malaria:
Tuli is officially in a low risk malaria area. Please consult your doctor about appropriate malaria prophylactics. It is always sensible to use insect repellent and wear long-sleeved tops and trousers in the early morning and evening. Mosquito repellent coils and spray are provided. All beds at Tuli Safari Lodge have mosquito nets.

Children:
All children are welcome at Tuli Safari Lodge. Parents are requested to respect the tranquillity of the location and the privacy of other guests. Children under the age of 2 will be at no charge when sharing with two adults, those aged 2-12 will pay 60% of the adult rate. Children under 12 may not participate in bush walks. If parents would like children under the age of 12 to participate in game drives, please advise the lodge in advance as it may be necessary to arrange an exclusive vehicle for which there may be a charge depending on how busy the lodge is. Babysitters are available at an additional charge. Children’s meals can be made on request. Kids@Tuli activity packs are available at the lodge to help children get the most out of their time at Tuli and to help keep them occupied!

Laundry:
Laundry is included for guests staying on a fully inclusive rate and available at a nominal charge for guests staying on a dinner, bed & brunch rate.

Power sockets:
The lodge uses 3 and 2 pin South African sockets - adapters are available if required.

We have many options to help you celebrate any special occasions whilst you are staying at Tuli Safari Lodge – please do not hesitate to discuss this at the time of booking. For more info about formal occasions, weddings and small conferences please see our Special interests & occasions page.

Exclusive use of lodge vehicle:

Subject to availability, a game drive vehicle and guide can be allocated for the exclusive use of guests with children or with special interests or needs. There may be an additional charge for this facility.

The weekend at Tuli Safari Lodge was a present from us, the children to my Mom and Dad on their 50th wedding anniversary. They thoroughly enjoyed it although it rained 127mm during the weekend and got soaked on the game drives but nevertheless enjoyed it very much. I cannot make words adequately describe the fantastic time I had at Tuli: from the animals seen (including my first Leopard); guides who don't just know about the animals but also know their habits and ways from living a lifetime amongst them; wonderful surrounds; and, kindly staff, an experience that I shall treasure for the rest of my life and yes, I will be back, soon I hope.

Accommodation is fantastic and well serviced - the game drives were 'something else' despite not seeing a lion! OK tried so hard and looked after us so well - his driving was superlative - particularly up the steep banks!
