Brenton on Sea is situated within the Knysna/Western Heads Conservancy, is just 15 minutes, by car, from Knysna town and boasts a beautiful stretch of pristine beach which has been awarded Blue Flag status in past years.Our accommodation is within close walking distance from the Brenton Blue Butterfly Reserve, small secluded beaches, accessible just off the Fisherman’s Walk in front of us and a 5km stretch of beach ideal for long walks that stretch to Buffalo Bay and beyond. Guests can also enjoy a more leisurely walk along Fisherman’s walk on the Brenton Cliffs some 100 meters away from us. Take time to sit on one of the many benches, along this walk, to just enjoy the views that stretch the length of rugged coastline. A wonderful destination for the nature lover seeking a relaxed environment to return too after a day on the beach or after exploring the beautiful Garden Route.Bushbuck, the Knysna Turaco (Loerie) and mongoose are often spotted in our garden and the surrounds and the bird life is exceptional. During the months from June to November the Southern Right whales visit our coastline and can often be spotted from our upper deck or Fisherman's Walk. Dolphin's are often spotted too.There are 2 restaurants as well as a Deli and Coffee Shop which are within walking or close driving distance, that offer a welcome alternative to self catering.
