Blackwood is a self-catering log cabin that can accommodate up to four guests. It is located high up on the mountain slopes of the Hout Bay valley and offers a tranquil retreat set in two acres of indigenous garden and forest.The cabin has two double bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and one with twin beds. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and one with a shower. The spacious open-plan lounge has a dining room and leads to the fully equipped kitchen. ★★★★★ On warm days it's unbearably hot inside the cabin, and there is no aircon, my whole family got ill due to this. When we arrived we saw that the braai and the grid of the braai was dirty, it was left like that till the day we left.The owners dogs come and go as they please, and altough the are super cute, they aren't as clean as you would a inside dog to be, thus sheading hair all over the place...... ★★★★★ Wow! What a place, it’s like the house is perfectly placed and positioned within nature, feels like you part of nature. We had an excellent stay, I would give the establishment a 10/10. Everything was great, the whole environment of the place, the set-up of the cabins and the location. The views are absolutely stunning, so beautiful and tranquil. I would go back any day.
