About Black Forest Mountain Lodge

Nestling in the foothills of the unique, indigenous Black Forest and in the shade of spreading Tipuana trees, you will find the secluded and homely German style Black Forest Mountain Lodge (self-catering) situated in a malaria free area. Experience silver mists, so soft and dense, you'll wonder if you've stumbled on 'Narnia', or night skies so clear, you might try to reach into the black velvet canopy and catch a star. Drink in the perfume of pine-strewn, dappled paths that will wind you around three small dams, where mossy tracks invite you to rustle through a chestnut forest. Bri

Conference Venues: Delegates can use the main house for a breakaway venue and a whiteboard and a flip chart is available.

Family friendly: The lodge has a playground and pony rides.

we initially booked the Mossie cabin which was cancelled when we arrived. However, the manager took good care of us by moving us to a guest house. My suggestion is that the markings on the hiking routes should be visible. The beds and bed linen are also tired, they need to be replaced.

We stayed in the campsite. Its small and rustic. Perfect to forget about everything and just enjoy nature. Some awesome hiking trails all around and the view is amazing. You have to start the donkey for hot water, and the bathrooms is small. Also know your driving to get in and out, would recommend high clearance vehicles.

I loved the fact that almost all the bedrooms have bathrooms but my only issue is the bed in lavender room was not comfortable at all its old and need to be replaced.

Visitors need to know about very poor cellphone reception and no TV. Both are not a major problem, but one needs to know this.

We camped for 3 nights. We were the only campers there and really enjoyed the silence and peacefulness of the campsite area. It is small but has ample space for abput 3-4 tents. The ablution block is small and rustic but had everything we needed. We always had wonderfully hot water to shower in. They allowed us a later checkout time and we really appreciated this! We had a lovely stay!
