★★★★★ Unfortunately the visit was a disappointment. A lovely pool was green with algae. The double bed turned out to be twin beds. The continental breakfast consisted of slightly stale bread, tasteless meat slices, processed cheese and jam. The TV only had SABC and E shows, which went red from time to time. E had no sound. No decent reading lights.

★★★★★ This place is like going to grandma's. Everything is neat and tidy, tastelfully appointed, and so very cozy. The proprieters are extremely accomodating and delightful. We won't stay anywhere else in Franschhoek but here.

Shower and bath facilities are communal, room is freezing, the electrical outlets are not working, heater does not work and the TV does not work.

★★★★★ Reasonably priced, large room, a bit cold in winter although ample extra bedding, very clean & tidy.Bathroom not en-suite although private. Don't worry with the continental breakfast - better to drive into town for plenty of choice & quality at the same price!
