Animals such as giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, springbok, impala, blesbok, nyala, sable, Kudu, Eland are all venturing around. Many bird species to spot like the resident fish eagle and the dam is home to hippo.

Muldersdrift attractions include Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden, Wonder Cave, and Ngwenya Glass Village. Guests of Beau Valley Backpackers can also visit Kromdraai Gold Mine.
