The area offers a variety of water sports such as kite surfing, body boarding, surfing, beach walks or horse rides, while the Margate Country Club offers golfers 18-holes to play. Other attractions in the area include the Pure Venom Reptile Park or Riverbend Crocodile Farm, and the Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve offers excellent hiking opportunities.
