The epitome of tented luxury,Bateleur Camp comprises just two intimate camps of nine tented suites each, set among the forests on the edge of the Masai Mara.
Bateleur Camp is setamong forests on the very edge of the Masai Mara, each elegant tent at&Beyond Bateleur Camp replicates the style and glamour of vintage Africa. A world of hardwood floors, polished silver, and sparkling crystal is juxtaposed against the romance of the open Mara plains, with their abundant herds of wildlife.
The tented suites boast an easy, classical elegance, with polished wooden floors and en suite bathrooms with stone-walled showers. Each tent has its own deck overlooking the vast game-filled plains of the Masai Mara and a personal butler ensures that every need is catered for. The onsite restaurant serves African dishes, and the onsite bar serves non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. The restaurant offers regular and buffet breakfast options and serves complimentary meals daily. A dedicated butler is available to cater to dining and drinking. Guests can dine outdoors at the lodge's open field. An outdoor swimming pool is available. Laundry is rendered onsite.
Blessed with an astounding year-round concentration of animals and site of the Great Migration for a few months every year, the Masai Mara National Reserve provides an unsurpassed wildlife experience. Known as the “spotted land” to the Maasai, it is a land of breathtaking vistas, abundant wildlife and rolling hills dotted with shuka-draped Maasai. The reserve is a photographer’s paradise, with abundant elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lion, and cheetah alongside the migratory wildebeest and zebra. Leopard is frequently encountered endangered black rhino find sanctuary in dense thickets and the Mara River is home to large rafts of hippo and some of Africa’s largest crocodiles.
There are morning and afternoon game drives in open Land Rovers and fascinating night explorations traverse the private concession adjacent to the reserve in search of predators and other nocturnal animals.
