BarWood is a small, owner run guest house, situated in the quiet town of Umkomaas. We have two modern, self-catering guest suites on the property.Each suite can comfortably accommodate two people.Our suites are open-plan, with a comfortable sleeping area with an en-suite bathroom. There is a kitchenette with a seating area and each suite has access to its own private garden with seating and a braai. BarWood is a small, owner run guest house, situated in the quiet town of Umkomaas. We have two modern, self-catering guest suites on the property.

Each suite can comfortably accommodate two people.

Our suites are open-plan, with a comfortable sleeping area with an en-suite bathroom. There is a kitchenette with a seating area and each suite has access to its own private garden with seating and a braai. Both gardens have a breath-taking view of the ocean.

The suites are similarly equipped with a kitchenette that contains all utensils, a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and electric frying pan. The suites have a TV with selected DStv channels. The bathrooms are newly renovated, with a shower, basin and toilet. We provide tea, sugar, coffee, cereal and rusks.

Suite one (sea-facing) has a view of the ocean from your bedroom window. It is set-up with a king size bed, but this can be converted into two single beds, on request.

Suite two (non sea-facing) does not have an ocean view from the room, but you do enjoy the view from your private garden. This suite has a queen size bed.

Regrettably, we do not have sleeping facilities in the suites for young children.

Our two suites are accessed off a entertainment area that is communal with a dartboard, a pool table and board game selection as well as a lounging area. A Weber braai is available for use in the communal area for when those inclement coastal rain showers drive you in from your garden.

We provide our guests with on the premises secure parking, with remote access behind electric fence.

The town of Umkomaas is a scuba diver’s and fisherman’s paradise, besides offering unique restaurants, shops, a popular golf course and bowling club. BarWood is 81km from King Shaka International Airport.
