Barra Palms is situated on Barra Beach, approximately 20 km from the tourism town of Inhambane. The warm waters of the Indian Ocean flow effortlessly to the sandy and picturesque beaches of Praia Da Barra, making the area a popular beach getaway destination.

The chalets are built at the base of the main dune, under a shady haven of palm trees with the beach only 60 meters away. The fully equipped chalets overlook the swimming pool each with its own braai area. The chalets are equipped with a fridge, a deep freezer, a microwave, a gas stove and oven, a toaster and a kettle. The cottages are serviced and linen is supplied but guests would need to bring along towels.

Access from the main road to the hard-core parking area of the lodge is decent, so it is not a necessity for a 4x4 vehicle. For those that prefer not to cook there are three restaurants close by, the nearest being Mozzie Bar which on the beach and Andeca Restaurant is approximately 100 metres away.
