The conservancy is 9300 acres in size and is remotely situated within the beautiful Soutpansberg Mountains, offering excellent game viewing. The bushveld terrain, which is rocky with hills, requires a medium fitness level. There are a variety of different species to spot at Balla-Balla including buffalo, zebra and kudu.

Accommodation is provided in the Lodge or Chalets. The thatched bush lodge features solar lighting, an open-plan kitchen with a gas stove and fridge, a lounge and dining room and a lapa with barbecue facilities. The smaller stone chalets, near the N1, are ideal for overnight stops when travelling on business or leisure, and feature barbecue facilities and sleep up to four guests each.
