ASKIESBOS is a small hidden bush-camp gem, located in the North-West corner of Botswana, overlooking floodplains and lagoons of the Okavango Delta, neighbouring another World Heritage site: Tsodilo Hills, being only 65km away.
Well situated and secluded on an organic farm, Askiesbos (meaning "we feel sorry for the bush") consists of 2 small luxury tents with a communal kitchen, dining and lounge - 1 tent with a double bed with an en-suite (outdoor) bathroom, and 1 tent with 2 single beds, also with an en-suite (outdoor) bathroom (showers, toilets and washing basins) with a view over the Okavango floodplains. Each tent has their own cozy 'boma' area and braai/barbaque facilities can be enjoyed at the communal area. Free parking on the premises with WIFI only at reception. Lots of animal activity and bird lovers will enjoy the diversity, specially when taking the hippo walking trail through the forest.
You'll be staying in an exclusive forest, surrounded by nature. Askiesbos is secluded and primitive - nature lovers will enjoy being right on the banks of the river stream and birders will find this ideal too. Pal's Fishing Owl come to visit quite often and a walking trial through the bush will en-light your stay.
The camp's setting is ideal for a couple, a family or small group who wants to escape city life, experience nature (with free roaming bush-buck, hippo, small predators and the occasional elephant passing through), and not to mention discovering our famous traditional village experiences... You can come and relax, write or paint, hike or do some birding, enjoy game drives or do horse safaris... An ideal 'base' for endless activities that awaits...
No meals are included and activities can be arranged with our local guides at very reasonable prices.
