For the golfers, there's the Strand Golf Course and for the nature lovers, the Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve boasts approximately 110 bird species and 1,300 fynbos species. Various small buck such as the klipspringer and common duiker and, occasionally, a leopard can be spotted. Hiking trails from one to three days are also available in the Reserve.
