About Aldeia das Águas Park Resort
Located in Barra do Pirai, about 120 km from Rio de Janiero, Aldeia das Aguas Village was founded in 1994 as a swimming pool complex, with approximately 45,000 square meters of built area. Just three years later, in 1997, the structure was expanded and became the largest water park in Rio de Janeiro with the inauguration of the wave pool, Kid's Place & the Running River. In 1999 the complex gained international notoriety because of the Kilimanjaro construction, the largest water slide in the world, at 49.9 meters high, certified by the Guinness Book of World Records!
