The early morning wake-up calls of the purple crested loerie or the groups of ibis visiting their favourite watering hole, encapsulates your ideal 'out of Africa' experience - a theme that is carried through the lodge as it introduces you to the history that is the foundation of this beautiful country.

Seven Bedroom suites, all with own private entrances, all en-suite, all with small kitchenette with microwave, bar fridge, kettle, cutlery, crockery (no stove except for suite 2). There is complimentary Wi-Fi connectivity.

Outdoor, under cover, includes a breakfast-dining area where meals are served on most occasions overlooking the sights and sounds of nature; an informal lounge with views over the Umgeni River mouth and the warm Indian Ocean; a braai area; and ablutions.
